Regional Sweet Spots
Some of our favorite award sweet spots, grouped by destination region. Each card shows the operating airline, booking program, one-way point cost, estimated taxes, transferable currencies, and how to book it. These are known sweet spots, but that doesn't guarantee availability - you still need to search for these!

Search for partner availability on the American Airlines website. Aim for flights on the newer Airbus A350 if possible.

Turkish Airlines (TK)
Book about a year in advance for best availability. Search on the Turkish Airlines website under 'Star Alliance' award bookings.
Qatar Airways (QR)
Search for off-peak dates on the Qatar Airways website. Use the calendar view to find the 70,000 Avios pricing for Qsuites.
Delta Air Lines (DL)
Search for Delta saver space on the Virgin Atlantic website. Best for short-haul domestic routes.
American Airlines (AA)
Search for American Airlines saver space on the British Airways website. Excellent for short-haul domestic flights.
Air France/KLM
Look for monthly 'Promo Rewards' on the Air France/KLM website. Pricing is dynamic but these discounts are consistent.
